Our History
Founded in 2004, Cosmic Picture is an award-winning production and distribution company dedicated to creating extraordinary cinematic experiences that educate, entertain, and inspire. Our portfolio includes acclaimed IMAX® and giant screen films, as well as impactful environmental documentaries that connect audiences with the wonders of science, nature, history, and exploration.
In 2018, we expanded our mission with the launch of Cosmic Picture Distribution, securing exclusive licensing rights to the National Geographic giant screen film library. Today, we partner with museums, science centers, aquariums, planetariums, and theaters around the world to bring exceptional educational and entertainment experiences to audiences of all ages.

Giant Screen Technology
Giant screen and IMAX® films are photographed with the highest resolution cameras and projected onto the largest screens on earth, to create a unique and unforgettable immersive experience. Located in hundreds of the world’s most influential educational institutions, such as the Smithsonian in Washington DC, La Geode in Paris, and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, giant screen and IMAX® films are amongst the most successful documentary films of all time.
